Launched in 2019, the first release of Drumshanbo single pot still Irish whiskey, produced by The Shed Distillery. Triple distilled using malted Irish barley, unmalted Irish barley and Irish Barra oats, the Inaugural Release is made up of whiskey aged for between three and five years in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts. 12,000 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Rich and extravagant, yet balanced with aromatic warm pot spice, vanilla and dried fruit aromas.
Palate: Complex and fully balanced, a glorious marriage of pot spice, fig, Oloroso sherry and toasted oak notes.
Finish: Elegant with a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. It lingers sublimely on the palate.
