A premium blend from Dewar's, position to compete with the likes of Johnie Walker Blue. The rumour is that the backbone malt of the blend is from Aberfeldy and aged for up to 27 years. After blending, the vatting is returned to marry in casks for integration before being bottled. Bottled at 43%.
Nose: Maple, honey, anise and a whisper of smoke.
Palate: Rich, creamy vanilla, more honey, a sweet candy note and licorice.
Finish: Long and warm, with heather and floral.
