Dalmore uses a unique cask finish to create their 25yo. The 25yo is matured initially in American white oak, the whisky is carefully divided into hand-sourced sweet Palomino Fino sherry butts and first-fill bourbon casks. These whiskies are then married together in bourbon barrels before being transferred, for the final time into Tawny Port pipes from Portugal. Bottled at 42%.
Nose: Excotic fruits, marzipan and treacle toffee.
Palate: Orange peel, chocolate truffles and liquorice.
Finish: Demerara sugar, dark chocolate.
