Launched in 2019 as part of the Compass Box Myths & Legends series, this first release in the series blends together two parcels of malt whisky, one younger and one older, from the Balblair distillery in the Highlands. This single malt was matured in a combination of American oak and first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.

The Myths & Legends series is a limited release trio of whiskies by Compass Box aiming to debunk three common misconceptions among whisky drinkers: 1) That blending is restricted to blended Scotch whisky, 2) A whisky’s region determines its flavour profile, and 3) Malt whisky from renowned distilleries is too precious to blend with others.
