DESCRIPTION:
Charles Fox Vintage Brut 2018 is a vintage Cap Classique produced by Charles Fox in Elgin, South Africa. The blend comprises 45% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay and 23% Pinot Meunier, with the grapes harvested by hand and whole-bunch pressed. Following primary fermentation, the wine undergoes its second fermentation in bottle and spends at least 42 months on the lees before disgorgement, developing complexity while retaining Elgin's naturally bright acidity. Bottled at 12.5% ABV.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Clean and expressive, with tropical fruit and dark red apple complemented by dried citrus, toasted almond and subtle yeasty notes. 

Palate: Fresh and finely structured, with citrus, lime and ripe apple flavours carried by a persistent, delicate mousse. Bright acidity is balanced by subtle savoury, toasted and mineral notes. 

Finish: Crisp and persistent, with lingering citrus, toasted almond and a refreshing mineral character.
