DESCRIPTION:
Charles Fox Reserve Gold is a non-vintage Cap Classique produced by Charles Fox Wine Estate in Elgin, Western Cape. Made from 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay, it combines the three traditional Champagne varieties grown in Elgin’s cool-climate conditions. The wine is made using the traditional bottle-fermentation method, producing a fine, persistent mousse. It has 14.2g/L residual sugar, giving it a slightly richer, softer style than a typical Brut. Bottled at 12.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.

TASTING NOTES:
Nose: Toasted nuts and delicate brioche, developing notes of sultana and dried apricot with a subtle saline character.

Palate: Generous fruit balanced by vibrant acidity and fine bubbles, with a gentle sweetness complemented by mineral notes and underlying brioche.

Finish: Fresh and lingering, with brioche, ripe fruit and a subtle mineral character carrying through on the finish.
