DESCRIPTION

A single cask release from the Caol Ila distillery on Islay, bottled by Adelphi independent bottler. Distilled in 2014, matured for 10 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead, and bottled in 2025. Only 310 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.4%.

OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES

Nose: Coffee grounds, salted caramel, Macadamia nut, Christmas ham, treacle, Marmite, soy, leaf tobacco. 

Palate: Medical gauze, Swedish black licorice, oily rag, used bung cloth, bacon, metal shavings, parmesan, black cherry. 

Finish: Leathery dryness up front, cigar, slightly sweet finish.
