DESCRIPTION

An ongoing small batch release from the Benromach distillery in Speyside, first released in 2007 as part of their more experimental Contrasts range. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2025, this 8 year old expression is matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels and peated to 56 ppm — considerably higher than the 10–12 ppm typical of Benromach's core range house style. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Very rich smoke with fragrant vanilla and light citrus zest, with hints of apple and white chocolate.

Palate: Smooth with toasted oak, honey and sweet ripe fruit, developing butterscotch and marshmallow into lemon sherbet, alongside sweet smoke.

Finish: Mouth-coating sweetness and bonfire embers.
