Benriach Smoke Season is an intensely smoky (45ppm) small-batch release that celebrates the Speyside distillery's sweeter style of peat and the limited periods of peated whisky production. Matured in first-fill bourbon barrels combined with a high proportion of charred and toasted American virgin oak casks. Naturally coloured and bottled at a high strength of 52.8%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Caramel smoke, oak spice and citrus peel with barbecue smoked fruit and pine trees.
Palate: Sweet caramel smoke, cinnamon spiced roasted apple with hints of charred orange peel, almonds and hickory.
Finish: An intriguing fruit and oak finish with mocha cream.
