A single cask release, selected by and bottled exclusively for us. A peated anCnoc (from some of the oldest peated malt they have available), distilled in 2005, matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask, bottled in 2018 with only 224 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at cask strength of 57.6%.

Nose: Autumn braai and burning grass. Reduced pear, caramelised almonds and just a touch of fresh tobacco leaf.

Palate: Smoky and sweet with cooking apples, butterscotch and leatherwood honey. Earthy spices and hint of tar develop with water.

Finish: Long and smoky, gradually revealing juicy orchard fruits and creamy vanilla.

Double Barrel Changer

"Simple, light, tasty, springlike perhaps. The spirit is well-made. But I can’t help feel it needs maybe a change in the Barrels for that extra flavour. All-round a great Whisky, but with a few minor adjusments could be much more better for the price."

Whisky Brother for the Win!

"Another brilliant bottling by Whisky Brother! Hard to believe so much flavour can be packed into a 13 year old whisky! Definite stewed fruits in the foreground. Spices and Peat coming through towards the end. Long finish! A must have!"

I havent had better in 2018

"This is just one of my favorites, absolute gem of a dram. Soon as you stick your nose in the glass you know you going to be in for something really special. Sooty, citrus, lemon and lime tart, sweet vanilla, the spirit really dominates this one for me and the wood second. First sip you are greet with lemon pepper, wooded vanilla pods, light hints of citrus not as strong as they were on the nose. After a few seconds the peat really shines through and comes to show it self, it really integrates with the rest of the flavours it almost adds a creamy buttery note to it. The finish is long with the first bit being sweet then ends in a lovely smokey woody musk. I can not get over how much I love this whisky. Definitely my favorite bottling we have done by far."

A smouldering campfire in a damp pine forest

"Nose: Soot & lemon sherbet. A whisper of candied orange peel . Green pine needles. Palate: Silky, yet flinty, mouthfeel. Smouldering peat, pine resin, lemony creams. Finish: Long, smoky and citrusy. Very enjoyable!"

Peated anCnoc?!

"Yes, peated anCnoc!! This is incredible whisky; completely reminiscent of high-quality Islay peat giants. anCnoc can now command respect from both unpeated and peated malt-heads. Fast becoming one of my favourite Scotch malt distilleries."

Just wow!

"This is one of my new favorite whiskies available. I think it is amazing with a great amount of flavor that comes through on every part of the whisky. The nose is sweet with a green apple and smoke hint that follows through on the palate. there is a bit of a spicy note that lingers on the finish with a long sweet smokey finish. It is a great complex whisky and i highly recommend buying a bottle or two before you miss out."
