Grapes for the Leeuwenkuil Rosé 2022 were hand-picked in February 2022 from vineyards growing on predominantly sandy-loam topsoil with well-structured subsoil on weathered rock, and delivered to the cellar in small bins to prevent damage to the berries. Grapes were then whole-bunch pressed, which reduced colour extraction because of limited juice to skin contact. The juice was allowed to ferment with natural yeasts to enhance mouthfeel, while retaining an elegant fruit balance. Residual sugar: 2.1g/l. Bottled in May 2022 at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Very floral and elegant nose with lovely enticing aromas of strawberry and raspberry.

Palate: Fresh and vibrant with lovely notes strawberry and raspberry on entry. Mid-palate reveals notes of ripe watermelon.

Finish: Elegant and short finish with subtle notes of cranberry.
