DESCRIPTION

A rare, well-aged release from the Glenlivet distillery in Speyside, drawn from the now-discontinued Cellar Collection, a series created to showcase exceptional mature stock from the distillery’s warehouses. Distilled in 1973, this whisky was matured for 36 years in three casks (one sherry cask and two American oak barrels) before being vatted together and bottled on 19 October 2009. Bottled at 49%. Nose: Sherried and fruity scents of candied orange peel, ripe peach, vanilla, and citrus.

Palate: Sweet fruit and spice glazed oranges, pineapple hints, caramel coated nuts, and baking spices like cinnamon and ginger.

Finish: Long, polished, warming spice and sherry influence, balanced oak and sweetness.
