A small batch release from GlenAllachie in Speyside, first released in 2018 in their Cask Strength series. Matured for 10 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, red wine barriques and virgin oak casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 59.7%.
Nose: Mocha, fig syrup, toasted hazelnuts, honeycomb, dried red berries and a touch of molasses tart.
Palate: Baking spices, brandied cherries and toffee sauce, followed by Black Forest gâteau, grilled honeycomb and damson plum.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering molasses, plum and rich oak spice.
