DESCRIPTION

The core expression from Isle of Raasay Distillery in the Islands region, first released in 2021 and officially named “The Draam” in 2025. Peated and unpeated spirit are matured separately in first-fill rye whiskey casks (65%), virgin Chinkapin oak (24%), and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks (11%), before being married together. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.4%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Red apples and cherries with earthy vanilla.

Palate: Ginger, cinnamon, stewed red apple and plum — not sweet, quite drying with a savoury note.

Finish: A whiff of smoke, butterscotch and salted almonds.
