DESCRIPTION

The latest permanent expression from Isle of Raasay Distillery in the Islands region, introduced in early 2026 as the third core single malt in their lineup. Peated and unpeated spirit produced from 100% Scottish barely, distilled between 2021 and 2022, are matured separately in fresh and refill Chinkapin oak barrels (Quercus muehlenbergii) before being married together. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a higher strength of 50.2%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Sweet vanilla and honeyed malt lead, with toasted coconut and light caramel. Orchard fruits develop with time, alongside a gentle thread of peat smoke and soft oak spice.

Palate: Balanced and textural. Notes of toffee and vanilla are joined by baking spice, roasted nuts, and a slightly drying oak influence. The peat is present but restrained, adding structure rather than dominance.

Finish: Medium length, with lingering oak spice, light sweetness, and a subtle, fading smokiness.
