DESCRIPTION

Dalwhinnie has been part of the Classic Malt's range since 1987, and along with its well-balanced and accessible flavour profile this is as reliable and consistent a single malt as you can find. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Aromatic, toffee and mixed fruit salad with custard. Floral, honeysuckle, apple peels and pear.

Palate: Walnuts steeped in manuka honey with vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves its way through the cereal with a touch of spice and lots of malt.

Finish: Long and malty with walnuts and almonds.

Not Worth It

"In my opinion this is A very thin, watery and disappointing dram. From nose to finish I feel that this is flat and disappoints, even more so for the price it goes for. The finish is non-existent and it’s too alcohol forward for a 15 year old bottled at 43%. ‘The gentle spirit’ on the bottle is an understatement. There are far better bottles at the same price or costing even less to go for."
