Brilliant
"To date for me, this is the standout in the Quartet set. I also think the label/artwork is amazing. It is a tribute the art of blending started in Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is intended to revive the little known Bailie Nicol Jarvie blend. Primarily Aberlour and Miltonduff, with a splash of Bowmore - the components are well aged and as expected deliver a beautiful integrated whisky in true CB style. Nose: Vanilla, Caramel, Honey, Stone Fruits, hints of chocolate and a touch of smoke. Taste: Fudge, Honey, Sultanas, Stone Fruits (apricot) and again those hints of smoke. I also get some lovely chocolate notes. Finish: Long and more smoke and peat than suggested by the recipe and the nose. Hints of the honey remain for me, maybe a hint of oakiness right at the end."
