In 2018 Speyside distillery GlenAllachie unveiled its new core range of single malt whiskies following its acquisition by a consortium led by ex-BenRiach owner Billy Walker. The 12yo is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry and virgin oak casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Butterscotch and honey playing the lead, with raisins and mocha in the background.
Palate: Honey, marzipan and bananas, with lashings of butterscotch, raisins and a delicate hint of mocha.
Finish: Medium, slight chocolate on the finish.
