DESCRIPTION

Introduced in 2014, American Oak is a permanent expression from the Auchentoshan Distillery in the Lowlands. Auchentoshan is unique in Scotland as the only distillery that triple-distils all of its whisky, resulting in a lighter style before maturation even begins. Matured exclusively in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Sweet with vanilla, coconut and lemon along with toffee and milk chocolate. Wafts of grassy air and clotted cream.

Palate: Bounty bars, more citrus peels and peaches. A little bit buttery, with golden barley and oak spice developing on the mid palate.

Finish: Lasting notes of grapefruit, spicy oak and toffee.
