DESCRIPTION
Launched in 2023, this is the second release in a five-part Springbank Sherry Wood series. Matured for 6 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished for 4 years in Spanish oak, Palo Cortado sherry hogsheads. 10,200 bottles were produced. Naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 55%.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: There are notes of parma violets, buttercream icing and peaches on the nose, along with hints of cola and grated ginger.
Palate: Soft peat smoke comes through on the palate, complemented by notes of red velvet cake, strawberry laces and icing sugar.
Finish: There is a waxiness in the finish with notes of orange rind and the continuation of the peat smoke.
