A limited release from boutique blenders, Compass Box, launched in 2015. Using exactly the same blend of component whiskies (heavily-peated Islay and Highland malts) as the classic Peat Monster, but delivered at cask strength in a double-size magnum bottle. A total of 2,000 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 57.3%. (Bottle size 1.5 litre)

Nose: Intense medicinal peatiness, along with smokiness.

Palate: Rich and full on the palate with complex earthy peat and smoke characters. Hints of citrus fruit, nuttiness and toasted oak.

Finish: Lingering peat.
