Our 2nd official single cask release from the Glen Scotia distillery in Campbeltown. Produced from unpeated spirit distilled on 17 November 2016, matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel before being finished in a first-fill tawny port hogshead for 14 months, and bottled on 19 November 2024. Only 202 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured, and bottled at a cask strength of 56.4%.
Nose: Juicy summer berries, beachside flowers and blackcurrant cordial, balanced with orange peel and sweet clove. Soft and enticing.
Palate: Red liquorice and sweet ginger syrup with salted caramel and strawberries. Well composed with the cask strength not evident allowing the softer elements to find balance.
Finish: Builds with oak spice, tropical fruitiness, candied ginger and spiced baked orange. Long and lingering with a soft and sweet spice.
