DESCRIPTION

A peated single cask release from the Akkeshi distillery in Japan, bottled by Adelphi independent bottler. Distilled in 2018, matured for 3 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, and bottled in 2025. Only 265 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.7%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Tobacco leaf, sweet and briny scallop, langoustine, lychee, kumquat, orange blossom, gardening mulch, grass cutting, orange oil, clean and crisp.

Palate: Fisherman’s Friends, salt slabs, Himalayan salt, ashy, sea air, salted meat and light metallic.

Finish: Bright, mature and lasting.
