Launched in 2020, this is the fifth expression in Wolfburn's Small Batch series. Matured for five years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for six months in first-fill ex-Madeira hogsheads. Like previous Wolfburn small-batch releases, Batch 204 was named after the warehouse in which the casks were matured (Warehouse 2), and the specific row in which the casks were located (row 4). A total of 5,800 bottles were produced. Naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Dessert wine and bourbon sweetness.
Palate: Sweet and full, gentle notes of burnt sugar, traces of gentle oak, vanilla tones and traces of hazelnut and orange should develop.
Finish: Sweet tones that should gradually melt away. Subtle traces of honey and butterscotch at the end.
