A whisky of legend! Released in infrequent limited quantities, this 25yo was bottled in 2006-when the expressions where still being bottled at cask strength. Matured in refill American oak casks with only 4,860 bottles produced. Bottled at cask strength at 56.9%.

Nose: Fruity (passion fruit, lemon and hints of green apple peel) and peaty, yet in a mature way. Extremely coastal too, with salty seaweed, and a touch of iodine. Also, and rather surprisingly, there is a waxy note reminiscent of Brora.

Taste: Very peppery, even for a Tali. Licorice, citrus and more than a pinch of salt. More expressive (and aggressive even) than the nose suggests, with a more dominant peat influence. Subtle marzipan here, as well as some cappuccino and menthol.

Finish: Long and lingering with deep peat, pepper spice and citrus.
