The Comtes Blanc de Blancs is the finest example of the Taittinger House style and is always a vintage cuvée. It is made with 100% white grapes from the 5 villages with a Grands Crus classification for the Chardonnay grape: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, and Mesnil-sur-Oger. This unique terroir is a narrow strip of land measuring just 20 kilometres. The thousand year old chalk on its surface provides the area with a natural water and heat reservoir, creating optimum conditions for white grapes to flourish. Only the very best cuvees are used in the production of Comtes de Champagne in order to guarantee finesse. Of the wines that make up its composition, 5% have been aged for four months in oak barrels, one third of which are replaced each year. Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs remains for up to 10 years in the chalk quarries beneath Saint-Nicaise before bottling. Bottled at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: The nose takes you into a world of freshness, opening smoothly to reveal a natural expression of radiant flavours and nuances underpinned by subtle acidity.

Palate: On the palate, the wine quickly pulsates as its effervescence unfurls into an invigorating sensation.

Finish: It tightens up on the finish to leave a lingering taste imbued with ginger and liquorice.

Founded in 1734 and owning 280 hectares of vineyards in Champagne, France, Champagne Taittinger is one of the few remaining family-owned and operated Champagne Houses.
