Grapes for the Saxenburg Shiraz Select SSS 2009 were hand-picked from two selected vineyards, fermented in open top fermenters and received a combination of pump-overs and punch-downs for optimal extraction. After 30 days of skin contact, the wine was drained into new French and American oak barrels, where it matured for 24 months before blending and bottling. Bottled at 14.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: The nose shows wonderful spice, red fruit, and cured meat, framed by subtle oak hints.

Palate: The palate is big and flavourful, with wonderfully softened tannins.

Finish: Bright acidity and a long finish.
