Bottled by the Limestone Branch distillery, this rye whiskey is named after founders Steve and Paul Beam’s great-grandfather, Minor Case Beam, who operated a distillery prior to prohibition, but passed away shortly after its repeal. Made from a mashbill of 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malted barley, distilled and aged at MGP (Midwest Grain Products) distillery in Indiana, this 2 year old straight rye is finished for 6 months by Limestone Branch in sherry casks from Meier's Winery. Bottled at 45%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Earthy notes and sweet sherry.
Palate: Hints of sweet butterscotch.
Finish: Smooth, with hints of dried fruits.
Limestone Branch was founded in 2011 by Steve and Paul Beam, whose ancestral roots run deep in the bourbon industry. Their great-great grandfather was Joseph Washington Dant, an early bourbon pioneer, and their great grandfather was Minor Case Beam, the eldest son of Joseph M. Beam in the legendary Beam lineage.
