The Nymphomane explores the marriage of Bordeaux varieties from vines situated in the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge and Elgin. Produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. All grape varieties were harvested separately by hand enjoying cool early morning temperatures. After overnight cold storage they were de-stemmed and crushed into red ferment tanks. Cold maceration occurred for 3 days. The wine was then fermented under controlled temperatures until dry. The skins were lightly pressed and the wine racked into a selection of French oak barriques (25% new barrels) for 16 months ageing and maturation. Final blending occurred 1 month prior to bottling and the wine was allowed to develop further in bottle prior to release Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Red fruit notes of blackberry, blueberries and raspberries. Hints of tomato powder and dried herbs.

Palate: Lovely red fruit entry with a juicy mid-palate. Medium body with inviting earthy aromas interlaced with notes of sweet spices.

Finish: Grippy tannin structure with lingering notes of tobacco and dried herbs.
