Launched in 2020, this limited-edition release is the first batch in the single-estate series from Glenmorangie, using only barley grown in the fields of the Cadboll Estate which surround the distillery. Matured for 15 years exclusively in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Intense and crunchy, with lots of oak, peanut brittle, malty/biscuity notes, and hints of crème brûlée. After a while, some orange oil and lemon zest. Ripe pear emerges, along with a subtle hint of menthol.
Palate: A creamy texture leads into soft, rich, sweet flavours: heather honey, butter candy, white chocolate, pears, apricots and mandarin segments, along with a balancing eucalyptus or menthol note.
Finish: The flavour lingers for a long time, with more sweet mandarin orange, gentle toasty oak and vanilla.
