Launched in 2017 as one of four expressions by the Glenglassaugh distillery, in a series that explores the effect of wood finishes on their whiskies. Matured initially in first-fill American oak before being finished in ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for up to two years. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Loaded with creamy vanilla and hints of white pepper over caramelised orchard fruits.
Palate: A dusting of vanilla-infused demerara sugar over pear tarte Tatin.
Finish: Cedar wood spice and rich, sweet barley.
