Produced in a traditional pot still by Dijon micro distiller Gabriel Boudier, Saffron gin is made to a 19th century Indian colonial recipe that contains fresh botanicals. These include juniper, coriander, lemon, orange peel, angelica seeds, iris, fennel and saffron, added via post-distillation maceration, which gives it a delicate and spicy aromatic charge together with the unmistakable natural orange colour. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Juniper, fennel, star anise and sweet spice and a slight saffron musk.
Palate: More herbal, citrus, fennel. hint of sweetness and a slightly enhanced viscosity,
Finish: A slight saffron musk rounds out the palate.
Produced in Dijon, capital of Burgundy and gastronomic centre of France, by Gabriel Boudier’s historical liqueur house, specialising in the production of crème de cassis, liqueurs and distillates since the 19th century.
