Each single barrel release from Evan Williams is personally selected by the distillery's master distiller. These releases are perfect examples of great bourbon at great prices. This release is from barrel number 107, which was distilled on 25 April 2006 and bottled on 16 April 2015 (just 9 days short of a 9yo!). Bottled at 43.3%.
Nose: Supple with all sorts of fruit, mixed cereals, with lots of sweet oats and corn. A touch of menthol, and those classic notes of char and vanilla.
Palate: Rich and balanced, quite mono dimensional, but superb as the notes of cinnamon and vanilla mingle with a gorgeous delivery of smoky corn and sweet oak.
Finish: Long, remarkable.
