A single cask release from the Deanston distillery in the Highlands, bottled by Douglas Laing in their Old Particular (OLP) range. Distilled in September 2009, matured for 9 years in a refill sherry butt and bottled in April 2019. Only 359 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 48.4%. (Bottle size 500ml)
Nose: Subtle with a dry spiced character, cereals and fresh green apples.
Palate: More Autumnal fruit, gentle oak, warming spices and malt.
Finish: Those spices are much to the fore, then a cough drop style.
