Created from a blend of grapes comprising 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir saigné. The vineyards that produce the grapes with which champagne De Vilmont is made are located in the renowned appellation region at Rilly-la-Montagne, nestling in the hills surrounding Reims. Made using the classical method known as Champenois. Bottled at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Floral notes of violets beautifully interlaced with aromas of raspberry, strawberry and grapefruit.

Palate: Fruit forward entry with notes of grapefruit and strawberry following through from the nose.

Finish: Elegant with a refreshing fine mousse and balanced acidity. Lingering red fruit notes.

Champagne De Vilmont honours the marquis de San Crevés, François Alphonse Donatien De Vilmont, who lived at the end of the 1700s. It is said that as an officer in Louis XVI’s Royal Guard, after an important military victory against the Austro-Prussian army, he celebrated on the battlefield of Valmy by opening a bottle of champagne with a stroke of his sabre.
