Grapes for the Chateau d’Esclans Rosé 2019 are grown from the Chateau d’Esclans vineyard and consist primarily of Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino). Harvesting takes place from sunrise to noon and grapes are sorted by optical eye electronically and manually three times. Destemming and slight crushing is done at 7-8°C to avoid oxidation. Both the free run juice and pressed juices are partially vinified in demi-muids (600-litre barrels) and stainless steel, both temperature controlled. Bottled at 14.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Located in the heart of Provence, Chateau d’Esclans is a prestigious estate and winery producing the industry’s leading rosé wines. Owner Sacha Lichine and Oenologist Patrick Léon, also a Bordeaux native and former head winemaker at Mouton Rothschild, have worked together to craft one of the industry’s most highly regarded portfolios of high-quality rosé expressions. The winery has become the fastest growing range of fine wines to be introduced globally during the past two decades, setting the tone for unprecedented growth within the rosé category.
