A single cask release from the Bowmore distillery on Islay, by family-owned, Scotch whisky distiller, blender and independent bottler Hunter Laing under their First Editions range. Distilled in 2003, matured for 16 years in a refill barrel and bottled in 2020. Only 230 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 58.4%.
Nose: An uncompromisingly Islay nose with typical fishing-boat notes, sea-spray, lobster pots and seaweed.
Palate: Peat smoke and leather.
Finish: Lingering grapefruit note.
