Part of BenRiach's Wood Finished Series, this whisky is first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels for most of it's maturation, thereafter it is then finished for several months in Pedro Ximenez sherry butts, sourced from the bodegas of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia, Southern Spain. Nonchillfiltered, naturally colored and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Honey, sultanas, dark chocolate with a flood of Pedro Ximenez sherry.
Palate: Cream and honey, infused with papaya, rosehips, eucalyptus and dark chocolate, all interwoven with rich sherry and oak wood.
Finish: Long, with dark chocolate, more sherry notes and sweet oak.
