The sixth batch of Ardnamurchan's single malt whisky, released in October 2021. In-line with previous batches, the release is comprised of equal parts of peated and unpeated whisky which was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon (65%) and ex-sherry (35%) casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.8%.
Nose: Juicy mandarins with crushed orange peel, a sea breeze in spring with white chocolate, freshly cut grass and candy canes. All that with the smells of a working kiln from the distillery.
Palate: Much more salty influences surround the mandarins. Salted toffee with mint and mint continues like the smoke of burnt leaves. Here the peat also warms the throat and cheeks.
Finish: The peat changes into more herbs (pepper and salt) with which the citrus notes are suffused.
