Alheit Hereafter Here 2021 is a young vineyard wine containing parcels of bushvine Chenin Blanc from the Swartland close to Malmesbury, the Upper Blaauwklippen, and Polkadraai. Grapes were picked early in the morning, sorting in the vineyards, and whole bunch pressed. The juice was very lightly settled with no additions to the raw juice. Wild fermentation took place in old barrels of various sizes. Fermentation lasted for about two months. The wine was kept on lees for around twelve months, then rested in tank on fine lees without fining for a further six months prior to bottling in May 2022. 11,094 bottles were produced. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Aromas of stone fruits like peach and apricot jump at you from the glass. It shows intriguing whiffs of warm baking spices.

Palate: Lovely concentration of fruit flavour, with notes of peach, oranges, apples and pear standing out. Great texture and palate weight, powerful and yet elegant.

Finish: Refreshing acidity with lingering notes of baking spices and an intriguing salinity.
