About The Only Whisky Show

Sadly, before our plans for our 2020 whisky show could even be finalised, the COVID-10 pandemic took centre stage and it has become clear that our show for this year will not go ahead as planned. We will update this page with our plans once lockdown restrictions are reduced and large scale social gatherings are allowed.

Whisky enthusiasts love to try new whiskies and love to share their passion and engage with others whisky fans. The Only Whisky Show is the show for the whisky die-hards; those that are interested in the content in their glass and learning about the history, people, places and flavours that make whisky such an incredible drink.

The Only Whisky Show offers a more intimate whisky experience that doesn’t require elbowing your way through crowds, along with the largest range of premium whiskies available to taste.

We have started working on our show this year. The plan is to rinse and repeat, but hopefully with more whisky and an additional international guest or two. Tickets are available here. Please watch this space for updates as the show nears, or subscribe to our website on the bottom right of this page.

25 and 26 July 2019

6pm to 10pm

Mustang Room, Sandton

R450 per person

450 people/night (strictly limited)

Our show last year (2018) had a final count of 235 premium whiskies available for tasting, including dozens of whiskies/whiskeys unavailable in SA. It is too early to publish this year's list as we are only starting to get confirmation from exhibitors/brands. Last year's list is available here for browsing: whisky list. This year our goal is a minimum of 220 different whiskies.

Access to the show allows you to taste as many whiskes as you like. In addition, there will be limited stock of some very special whiskies, “Copper Drams”. Each attendee will receive 3 copper coupons that they can exchange for any 3 Copper  Drams they would like to try. (Please note that due to the limited nature of these whiskies, they will be served on a first-come, first-served while the liquid lasts.)

There will be two food vendors at both nights of the show, with food on sale at your own expense, from 6pm when the doors open until 1030pm (half an hour after whisky is stopped being poured). It is recommended you bring cash to speed up the process, however, credit card facilities will be available. There will be a vegetarian option.
