La Bri's Double Door range of experimental wines introduces wines that are made from a mix of estate grapes and grapes brought in from neighbouring farms. This 2020 vintage of white is a blend of Roussanne and Semillon. Separate fermentation in tank and 2nd-fill 300-litre French barrels. A wine with good aging potential. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Very aromatic, lots of perfumed and bruised fruit. Hints of dusty earthy character. A bit of stone flint.

Palate: Stone fruit notes on entry. Very well textured bit of oiliness.

Finish: Beautiful refreshing acidity.

Given to the De Villiers family in 1694 as one of the original nine farms given to the Huguenots, La Bri is derived from the French word for shelter. Passing through a number of owners, Robin Hamilton bought the farm in 1997 and General Manager and winemaker Irene Waller, previously winemaker at the Graham Beck Winery in Robertson for 6 years, joined La Bri in 2010.
