A locally produced small batch whisky from Incendo distillery, Lexicon Picnic in the Forest is produced from a mash bill of 50ppm peated malt (5%), malted barley and oats. Matured for 3 years in an ex-bourbon cask and finished for 12 months in a 500-litre ex-sherry cask. 380 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. Nose: A sweet nose from the sherry cask.

Palate: Light peat notes bring whiffs of smoke and leather.

Finish: A lingering aftertaste revealing the sherry cask finish.

Founded in 2017 by Francois and Vonmari Joubert, Incendo distillery is a proudly South African craft distillery based in Hartbeespoort. The distillery produces gin, rum, whisky, brandy and a range of liqueurs.
