Part of the Diageo's annual limited edition Special Releases for 2018, the Cladach (Gaelic for shoreline) is a blended malt, marrying six, coastal malts: Caol Ila, Clynelish, Inchgower, Lagavulin, Oban and Talisker. Matured in a combination of first-fill American ex-bourbon casks, refill American oak hogsheads, refill European oak butts and ex-bodega European oak butts. Bottled at a cask strength of 57.1%

Nose: Oily and salty with a mild sweet and citric note and simmering peat.

Palate: A great, rich mouthfeel with a crack of pepper, tropical fruit and citrus. The peat playing support to the notes of sea air. 

Finish: Long, smooth finish with a soft, saline spiciness and gentle peat.
