Piaff originates from the French word Piaffe. A Piaffe was a move originally used in battle to keep horses warm on the spot, helping them remain focused on what’s ahead and ready to move forward. Introduced in 2015, Champagne Piaff is the brainchild of Laurie Kempster and Maxime Mansard. Laurie is a South African forensic accountant and winemaker. Her partner Maxime is the fifth-generation of the Champagne-producing family, the Mansards.
