Launched in 2019 as part of the Compass Box Myths & Legends series, this second release in the series blends together malt whiskies of different ages from the Glen Elgin distillery in Speyside. This single malt was matured in a combination of casks: refill sherry butt, refill American oak hogshead, recharred American oak barrel and recharred American oak hogshead. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.

The Myths & Legends series is a limited release trio of whiskies by Compass Box aiming to debunk three common misconceptions among whisky drinkers: 1) That blending is restricted to blended Scotch whisky, 2) A whisky’s region determines its flavour profile, and 3) Malt whisky from renowned distilleries is too precious to blend with others.
