Armagnac

2 products

Produced in the Gascony region of southwest France, Armagnac is the country’s oldest brandy, predating Cognac by more than a century. Distilled traditionally in continuous copper alembic stills, Armagnac is known for its rustic charm, complexity and depth of character. Maturation takes place in French oak casks, where the spirit develops aromas of dried fruit, spice, and rancio with age. Divided into three appellations — Bas Armagnac, Armagnac-Ténarèze and Haut Armagnac — the region’s varied soils and grape varieties create distinctive styles, with Bas Armagnac prized for its finesse and aromatic purity.
