Virgina Gentleman is a small-batch bourbon, produced by the A. Smith Bowman distillery in Virginia. The bourbon is first distilled at an undisclosed Kentucky distillery (most likely Heaven Hill or Buffalo Trace) and then distilled again in Virginia. This is an older bottling of the discontinued Virginia Gentleman 90 proof, which was introduced in 1998 and later replaced by an 80 proof expression. Bottled at 45%. (Bottle size 750ml)

The A Smith Bowman distillery was founded in Fairfax County in 1934, on the same day that Prohibition ended, and was the only legal distillery in the state of Virginia until the 1950s. The original distillery was closed when it became part of a planned community site. A new A Smith Bowman distillery was then founded in 1988 in Spotsylvania County, and operated as a family business until 2003 when it was bought by the Sazerac company.
