Launched in 2023, A Tale Of Tokyo is the fourth limited-release in Glenmorangie's A Tale Of series. Conceptualised by Glenmorangie’s director of whisky creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, who has travelled extensively through Japan and long held a fascination with the country. To craft the limited edition expression, whisky part-aged in Mizunara (Japanese oak that is rare and highly regarded for its impact on whisky) casks was combined with whisky matured in both sherry and bourbon casks. To commemorate the release, Glenmorangie collaborated with Japanese artist, Akira Yamaguchi to design artwork for the bottle and packaging. Bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Powerfully herbal, with hints of toffee contrasted by incense and saddle-soap, followed by a resinous note and a touch of cedar wood.

Palate: A peppery mouthfeel leads into notes of tangy oranges and bitter cherries alongside fennel and chewy oak.

Finish: Long and gently nutty, with hints of almond, mandarin, ground white pepper and more wood resin.
