One of the most iconic Irish whiskey brands, Redbreast is produced at Midleton Distillery and renowned for its traditional single pot still style — a uniquely Irish method using a grain mashbill of both malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills. The brand dates back to the early 1900s when it was first bottled by wine and spirit merchants W&A Gilbey using whiskey sourced from Jameson’s Bow Street distillery.
Now owned by Irish Distillers (a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard), Redbreast has experienced a deserved resurgence over the past decade, growing in demand and reputation among whisky enthusiasts. Acclaimed for its rich, layered character and quality, it has become a benchmark for the single pot still Irish category.
